Google and Tripadvisor reviews are not doing any justice to this quaint hotel! I was initially very worried with biased and inaccurate reviews but I was sooooo pleased and happy with our stay! The rooms were exceptionally big, quiet and comfortable. Hot spring water was amazing and relaxing Hotel check-in staff deserve a GOLD Award! They absolutely friendly and helpful, honestly! They even offered to show us the Japanese style rooms when we commented how lovely it looked on the hotel brochure Yes, perhaps the exterior facade does look a little old but it is the interior where you sleep matters more isn't it? That is why Google reviews and Tripadvisor are so wrong If you are looking for poshy and luxurious looking hotels, go for the international chains then. We were extremely satisfied with this cosy find. After dinner, we hang out at the lobby lounge fireplace. Pool table with refreshments served. Met other Japanese staying and had simple chats over pool games. We are from SIngapore and could only converse in English but that didnt get in the way of meeting other friendly locals

There was enough space to open two 63L suitcases and more so it was stress-free repackaging my luggage. The lightings were cozy and relaxing. When you become a membership (free), you get free drinks(alcohol, water, coke) and snacks. Their onsen was a little smaller than others but it was nice to warm up before breakfast. I recommend the Tombo no Yu as it is modern, beautiful, and has more space and variety (indoor, outdoor, cold, sauna) with a zen-like atmosphere. Overall, it is a clean hotel with great customer service!

Fantastic room considering the price: It was huge. Full disclosure: I'm a huge billiard fan so any hotel with a table is going to get my full stars, but even so it was a lovely family atmosphere in the cafe/bar at around 7pm. Nice onsen (check the fridge, there are free ice-lollies) Breakfast was really good and they even called me to warn me I only had 10 minutes til the restaurant was closed.

Dan

The front desk staff were helpful and spoke enough English to have a conversation. The room exceeded my expectations and i love the Japanese style for half the room and western for the other half. Clean, tidy, :)

Hi, I think we left a black jacket there during our stay. We stayed at room 117 and was wondering if anyone found it. Please feel free to email me if anyone finds it. Other than that it was fantastic! Thanks !
